1 Week Old!
Yes, I am going to take a picture of Josh every week! I had to take a picture of his hair because I've heard that they lose it after a couple of months. He was a very good boy again for his photo shoot. I love his hair! I think he got so used to hearing the clicking of my camera during the summer in the womb, that it is comforting to him now. He was very alert and cute! Can you tell I am a very proud mommy?

Josh's First Outing
We took Josh out for the first time to the Winegar family Christmas party. He was only 6 days old, so it was a little scary, but we had fun. We got to have our picture taken with Santa and ate a yummy dinner.

Baby's 1st Photo Shoot
I did Joshy's first photo shoot today. He did so good and we got some really sweet pictures - I'll post more later, but this was the favorite shot of the day! I am so in love with this sweet little guy - isn't he so cute!

Coming Home
We brought our precious boy home from the hospital on Thursday morning. It was so much fun to put him in an outfit and in his carseat! We only had about a one minute drive from the hospital to our house. Doesn't Josh look so adorable. Thanks Mary for the darling outfit! He actually doesn't have a whole lot of clothes that fit him because he is so tiny. We are so happy to have our healthy baby boy home with us! Of course, more pictures to come!

Josh's First Pics
Here are the first pics of little Josh!! He was born this morning at 6:02 am, weighed 6 lbs 2 oz, and was 19.5 inches long. He surprised us by coming a few weeks early! His 'Nana' McCormick was able to be in the room when he was born but Grandma Hinckley, despite changing her plane ticket and trying everything she could, didn't quite make it for the birth. However, she was able to hear the whole birth over cell phone on her layover in Cincinatti. He just really wanted out and came very fast. Lindsay's water broke at 10:15 pm, she got the epidural at 2:00 am, and he was born four hours later. Lindsay went from being dilated at a 3 at 2:00 am to a 9.5 at 4:00 am (and slept through the whole process)! After about 30 minutes of pushing he was born. We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for a complication free labor and delivery! We are also so grateful to all of our friends and family and the outpouring of love we've felt today. Lindsay and Josh are both doing great!! Don't worry, we have many more pictures to come!!

Christmas Songs
You all may know that I have an incredibly talented songwriter for a husband. I also have some super talented brothers who have a group together. Derek just wrote an awesome Christmas song this year called 'The Best Thing About Christmas' that was inspired by an article in the Friend magazine from 30 years ago. I also LOVE Todd's original Christmas song called 'Christmas Feeling' he wrote a few years back and recorded with his band 'Anonymous'. Check out the talent! The Real Chris Daughtry...
So I've been feeling terribly guilty all week so I finally have to come clean. The 'Chris Daughtry' that we had over for Thanksgiving was actually....well, my brother! And his name isn't Chris - it's Matt (he actually hates American Idol). The picture above is of all of my awesome siblings at my sister's wedding a few years ago. I didn't think my little white lie would go this long without SOMEBODY calling me on it...siblings, friends, cousins. Maybe they all believed it too. Anyway, to all of you that I deceived, please accept my sincere apologies. I am flattered that you all believed that my 'music career' was successful enough that I could have become friends with the real Daughtry!
You do have to admit that he does bear a striking resemblance!!

Christmas Tree
We finally got some real Christmas ornaments for our tree. Tai Pan is great - especially with a 20% off coupon! So here's what we came up with. I'm so excited for Christmas and for baby Joshy!

36 Weeks
Or maybe I'm 37 weeks?? (I still think my real due date is closer to the 22nd) But I'll just say that I am 36 weeks and it will be a bonus if he comes before! I am feeling more and more tired and sore. If I stand up for more than a few minutes at a time, I start to feel like I'm going to faint. I still love to feel him move around and stretch. I can't wait to meet the little dude!

A 'Chris Daughtry' Thanksgiving
At long last, the silence is broken... I keep telling Lindsay that eventually I'm going to post on our family blog - since I've yet to contribute. Well, here it is! There was an event so big this Thanksgiving that I had to blog about it. We had an incredible visitor for Turkey Day this year...the one and only Chris Daughtry! For those of you who aren't devout AI followers like Lindsay and me, Chris Daughtry was on American Idol a few years ago and should have won but didn't. Still, he's had one of the most successful music careers of any AI contestant. As many of you know, I had a band for a while and was in the music scene. That's where Chris and I became good friends. Well, we got to have him over for Thanksgiving Dinner. My favorite part was when we jammed and he played MY Taylor. Pretty rockin'.
Almost as incredible, we also had the opportunity of having the Yeager family over too (Lindsay's cousin Jenny, her husband Chris, and their 3 kids)! Linds and Jenny pulled off an amazing Thanksgiving dinner all on their own (though they vowed they'd never do it again)!
Thanks again for stopping by Daughtry - always good to see you.

35 Weeks
I just think my belly looks HUGE in this picture! It's all pointy! Well, only 5 weeks to go (hopefully less)! I am so tired and achy - but all for a good reason. I can't wait to hold my baby boy and see what he looks like.

Joshy's nursery
I finally ordered the prints I am going to hang in Josh's nursery above the changing table! I took pictures of an old rustic truck, trike and tractor and then did some photoshop work on them to make them look old. That's the whole theme to his room. So these pics will be 10x10 gallery wrapped canvas prints.

Todd @ 34 Weeks...
We went to an all day childbirth class on Saturday. We learned a lot and Todd did so good with the gruesome birthing video we had to watch. The nurse did a great demonstration of "daddy sympathy". She took a backpack and filled it with different baggies that represented how much everything weighs when you are about 34 weeks along. With everything in it, it was about 25 lbs. So the guys in the class took turns strapping it on their bellies to see how it feels to be us! I think he definitely gained some more understanding of what I am going through right now! Doesn't he look cute! Oh, and us girls strapped on fake breasts to practice nursing.

My Birthday
This dude sang Happy Birthday to me in Italian.
Chocolate....mmmm!
Princess Eden
We went to Macaroni Grill for my birthday with Todd's family. It was yummy and I even got a chocolate cake for free. The first present Todd gave me was a princess crown - there is a story behind it - we met exactly 4 years ago on my birthday at a party. My friends made me wear a crown that said Happy Birthday on it, so that's why he was able to talk to me at the party. He actually sang "Happy Birthday" to me and got everyone in the party to join in! Cute, huh! I especially like Todd wearing the princess earrings!

The Big 27!
That sounds old...Oh well, Happy Birthday to me! Here are some pics of my very first birth day! My mom said that she doesn't remember any pain, just that she was sooooo happy to have a girl after having two boys! My dad was sooooo nervous to have a girl! Mom, I hope I look as great as you did right after giving birth! And Happy 3rd Birthday to Hyrum - my nephew who was born on my birthday!

34 Weeks
Baby Joshy is now as big as a cantaloupe. He weighs almost 5 pounds and is 18 inches long! I can't imagine getting much bigger, but he still has to grow a few more pounds before he's full term. Good thing I am done shooting!
